Yes! Upon successful completion of the Fundamentals of Yoga: 200-Hour Teacher Training, you'll be eligible to apply for certification with Yoga Alliance. While Yoga Alliance registration is optional and not required to teach, many choose to become certified through them.
Am I guaranteed a teaching position at Body Mind Fitness after graduation?
While completion of the training does not guarantee a teaching position at Body Mind Fitness, it does fully prepare you to seek opportunities at local studios, work with private clients, or launch your own classes. We encourage all graduates to pursue their teaching path with confidence and initiative.
I'm not planning to teach-can I still take the training?
Absolutely. In fact, about half of the students who join yoga teacher training don't plan to teach. If you're taking the course for personal growth and not certification, you're not required to complete homework, practice teaching, or the final teaching project. However, I highly recommend completing those components in case you decide to teach later-you don't want to retake the training just to get certified!
What course materials are included?
Once you're enrolled, you'll receive:
- A detailed reading list with reflection questions
- A printed or digital manual/workbook on the first day of classes
- Access to all recorded sessions for one year after the training ends
Note: You'll need to purchase or borrow your required reading books separately.
Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?
Yes, once you've completed the training, including your final teaching project and all required coursework, you'll receive your 200-Hour Fundamentals of Yoga Teacher Training Certificate by email.
Where can I buy the required books?
The books can be purchased from Amazon, Indigo, or any major bookstore. You can also check your local library for available copies.
I've already completed a 200-hour yoga training. Can I still join?
Yes! This training is a great refresher if it's been a few years or a valuable supplement to your previous education. You'll gain new insights, deepen your knowledge, and get access to updated resources, teaching tools, and mentoring.
Will this training prepare me to safely lead yoga classes?
Yes! This comprehensive program covers the core curriculum of a 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and includes additional modules on teaching meditation, injury modifications, inclusive language, sequencing, and the business of yoga. You'll graduate ready to lead safe, effective, and inspiring classes.
How long will I have access to the recorded materials?
You'll have access to all training recordings for one year from your program completion date.
Is this course suitable for beginners?
Yes! If you're newer to yoga and want to deepen your practice, this training is a great fit. While it's recommended to have about one year of consistent practice, we can chat if you have less experience and are feeling called to join.
Will this certificate be recognized by studios, gyms, or corporate wellness programs?
Yes. Once you complete the program and receive your certificate, you'll be a certified yoga teacher. Many graduates have gone on to teach at studios, gyms, schools, corporate settings, healthcare facilities, and more. That said, each organization has its own hiring policies-some may require additional in-house training.
Are payment plans available?
Absolutely! We're happy to offer payment plans for the program. Just a heads-up - all payments need to be completed by the end of the training in order to receive your certificate. We do require a valid credit card to be kept on file, and a $500 non-refundable deposit is needed to secure your spot when using a payment plan.
What are the payment options?
You can pay by credit card, e-transfer, invoice, or in person at the studio. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (HST/tax will be added), and foreign currency payments will be automatically converted.
Is my credit card information secure?
Yes. Payments are processed through Helcim, which is Level 1 PCI-compliant, the highest level of payment security. Your financial data is never stored or directly accessible by me.
